"Bake me a cake" or German "made me a cake" is a charming and playful lamp oak wood design table and lampshade smoked glass. Simply lift the glass cover to change the bulb . lamp emits a low, soft light.

Design table lamp made in prison Bergen

This lamp was discovered in the Milan Design Week 2015 and has delighted critics and masses. Designed by the design duo Jonas and Marten for Northern Lighting, this charming table lamp design was done in the most unexpected places - the mountains in prison in Norway. In fact, it is hard to believe that something has been produced from the quality and original design of some detainees Norwegian prison. To focus on the issue of prison, the lamp was inspired by the story of the "cake with a nail file," where a mother made a cake for his son jailed for help to escape prison. The project aims to organize meaningful activities for inmates while they are in prison.

Morten & Jonas are two guys from Norway who work in the field of furniture design and interior design. Both have a master's degree in design at the Academy of Art and Design in Bergen Norway. The design duo has had success with working with the Norwegian prison system, where they are currently using design as a tool to develop and strengthen their production. With this design, they wanted to create an object that has a sense of humor, a beautiful shape and a story that would give the user some thoughts and hopefully a smile on their faces.
