CorManca-sustainable solar house with green roof in Mexico City



CorManca solar house is located in the city of Mexico and offers a convenient alternative way of life and at the same time. The Sustainable house from the year 2012-2015 has been designed by architects Paul Crémoux and built on a plot of 176 m2 only after the liability standard practice.

Solar three-storey house has not only solar water heater, but it is passively cooled by cross ventilation. The highlight is a vertical green oasis in the courtyard. This wall was planted with over 4,000 different species of plants. The roof protects the house against the elements.

The vertical greening absorbed annually around 187 kg of CO2 into the atmosphere. With the green roof is the number 267 kg of CO2. The solar house project placed great emphasis on the use of easily recyclable materials, the use of non-VOC paint systems with passive cooling through cross-ventilation.

Windows and facades emphasis on transparency, lightness and stability. The basic function of the lens is to bring light into the house. The coating of dark natural stone panels gives the impression of a monolithic body heavy concrete. These panels can also be found in the inner linings so clever with their typical texture surface on the basis of dramatic contrasts can be created. The living area is 540m2.
