
Dentsu London creative agency, together with photographer Linden Gledhill, created this relatively simple-looking music visualization idea, though it required careful preparation and considerable effort. The spectacular color sculptures are part of an advertising campaign for Canon's Pixma inkjet printer range. "Bringing color to life" is the slogan.
Create colorful visual effects – music visualization

So how was this music visualization created, and how were the rebounding drops of color recorded? A thin waterproof membrane was stretched over a loudspeaker. A small amount of paint was then applied to the membrane. Finally, the music was played. The sculptures were filmed with a high-speed camera, recorded at 5,400 frames per second with a Canon 5D Mark II and Canon EF 100mm Macro USM lens.
