Small hut in the forest enchanted with rustic furnishings
We present a favorable idea of how you can enjoy your holiday in the countryside - to the example of interior designer Scott Newkirk on and spend your time in a cabin in the woods.
Cabin in the woods to relax in the midst of nature
During the work week stylist Scott Newkirk is always on the go. One day, he works behind the scenes at fashion shows in New York the other day, he consulted with clients and leads through renovations. But on weekends in spring and summer, he went to his cabin in the woods. There is no electricity, no TV, no computer, and even running water. But now he feels free, can sleep and swim in the warm weather in the nearby river.
Cabin in the Woods - practice set to 16 square meters
Newkirk drew sketches of the cabin in the woods in 2003. The cabin extends to the modest 16 square meters, but it took two years until it is finished. Built from recycled wood, with a balcony and a terrace with stone slabs, the building has a traditional rustic look. Large windows open the house in the area, sliding glass doors seamlessly connect the interior with the exterior. Inside, there is a lack of anything - a practice area is located on the first floor and a comfortable room with a beautiful view - on the second. Decorative vases, images and figures of speech in the country have been designed in part by the designer himself, bought some. Toilets and bathrooms are located in the open air. It is a wonderful retreat where you can relax and unwind.
